25 weeks (and 1 day)!!!!

I am starting to feel pregnant, even though I am not really that big yet. I was told -AGAIN- at the gym this morning, that I do not look like I am carrying twins, and if so, there is no way I can be 25 weeks along. Yes, I miscalculated lady, that's it! I just think it's funny and it no longer really bothers me. I know I am healthy and I know my baby girls are too! The only annoying comment I can't stand is when my fellow gym-goers tell me that the reason I look small is because I am working out... uhm, no. My belly and its growth is not being affected by my workout schedule! My babies take what they need from me and grow with it :) I love working out, and I know it is good for all 3 of us!

So, today I am 25w1d, and so in love with the two of you! I feel both of you kick all of the time and daddy feels it too! Currently, you are both about the size of an eggplant (between 13.6-14.8 inches) and weigh 1.5-2.2 lbs... I guess that explains all of the movement I see below my shirt! Your eyes are also forming right now, and I know you will both have beautiful eyelashes (to bat at us someday, when you want something!)!

We talk about both of you non-stop! I purchased your baby books last weekend and have already started writing in both of them. We've picked a few names, but I am pretty sure you will be Maria Viola and Nora Florence :) That's what we've been calling you for the last few weeks! Sometimes, I call one of you Francesca and lately Nyla, but daddy keeps the original names! We'll see! Only about 12 weeks left to go and then we'll have to decide!

Baby Shower!

I had my first and only baby shower last Saturday and it was wonderful. We got a ton of great gifts, some from our registry and then others hand-selected or hand-made with love.
Here are a few pictures from the big day!

Viability!!! 24 weeks

24 weeks today, which means viability, but please dear God, do not let these babies even think about coming out for at least 12 more weeks. Obviously for their health I want them to stay in for 12 more weeks, but for myself too :) I love being pregnant and I love having them safe inside me, where I know they are warm and snuggly and growing like little weeds!

I had my 24 week OB appt and my weight gain is right on track, although, I did gain 10 pounds in 4 weeks. I was shocked! My OB, on the other hand, was not shocked and very happy! I guess I'm all about making people happy, so if they're happy with the gain, I'm ok with it. He thought I was a little underweight to start with and told me he thinks it is all belly... so, again, I'll roll with it! I am only measuring about 26 weeks right now, which is a complete shock bc I measured 25 weeks at my 20 week appt. I guess this means my babies are pretty close together and don't realize all the room they have to move up and expand?

We are still sporting the papayas this week... nothing new until week 25 :) Then we become eggplants?

I have an appointment with the specialist in 2 weeks for cervical length and baby weights and lengths... I can't wait to see my two little girls again!!!! I am so in love with them!

Twin Friends to Play With!

This is super exciting news :)

Our very good friends that we met through our infertility struggles are expecting twins!!!! I am so over-the-moon happy for them and am secretly hoping they have two little girls for my two little girls to play with someday :) Lots of special memories to be had, I am sure of it!

Happy 23 Weeks Babies!

Another week down, and another week of feeling awesome! This has been a pretty big week for us. I saw, for the very first time, the babies kicking from the outside! And G saw it too and it is amazing. Baby B, you take up my whole right side, and Baby A, you still look like you are cramped down in my pelvic bone. You need to move out of there!

Here's what we look like at 23 weeks little girls:

I still cannot believe we've made it this far and I am so proud of both of you! You're awesome and I am so happy to be your momma!
You are still the size of a papaya, between 10.5-11.8 inches and 12.7 and 20.8 oz. You're sleeping about 12-14 hrs per day, and I think right now it seems like you are sleeping when I am sleeping and then you take a long snooze during the morning hours. Your beautiful little faces are fully formed and I cannot wait to see them :)

I missed 21 weeks... 22 today!

Sorry little babes, but last Wednesday we turned 21 and momma was on a flight to Arizona for Thanksgiving so I missed the post and update! But, I did have my weekly picture taken, in the same outfit as the week before so I could see my growing belly :)

I am definitely getting a bit bigger, week by week, still not as big as I thought I would be at this point, but I am getting there :)

22 weeks today... Here is our new picture! I feel huge! I am still working out almost every day for an hour to 90 mins. It makes me feel so good and I know the babies love it!

We finally decided on bedding last night and I put down a deposit today! I am so excited! I am usually so nervous when I have something custom made, bc I tell myself I am not going to like it, but I feel so good about this! Probably bc I fretted over it for weeks, sleepless nights and tons of tears! We love it and we hope the babies do too!
