We are having a 3D/4D ultrasound tomorrow to determine the sexes of these two little stinkers and my cousin Joette is doing it for us! We are so excited! I am not sure I will be able to sleep tonight at all from excitement! My parents are coming to the ultrasound with us and I am very excited for them to see both babies :) I have constantly sent them pictures from my ultrasounds, but this will be a special 3D one, and since we are finding out the sexes, very important!
My prediction: girl/girl. Greg's prediction: girl/girl.
In the beginning, I honestly thought both babies were boys. It was my gut feeling from the moment I saw the pictures of the embryos before the were transferred back to my body. But as these last few weeks have gone by, I would be shocked now if one was a boy! If you are both little girls, watch out daddy!!!!
In other pregnancy news, I am up about 7-8 pounds and am in maternity pants some days, some days not. The days that I still wear my own jeans, I wear a maternity top for a little extra room. The days that I wear maternity pants, I wear my own shirt. I am definitely showing now and Greg is going to start taking full shot pictures of me tonight :)

17... Another Beautiful Number :)
First I must say that I cannot believe that I am almost halfway through this pregnancy! I will not make it to 40 weeks (for safety of both babies), but my OB is willing to let me go to 39 weeks! I am guessing 38 will be the magic number, so 2 more weeks and we will be half baked! Here I am at 17w1d. Finally showing with a little bump!
17 weeks introduces the onion! Both babies' skelton's are hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone and fat is starting to accumulate around it. Umbilical cords are getting harder and stronger and we have FINGERPRINTS on all 20 fingers and 20 toes! Super :)

Avocados!
At 16w, each of our babies are now the size of an avocado! The babies are starting to hear what we say due to little bones forming in their ears! Eyebrows, hair and lashes are starting to fill in... I wonder if they are super blonde like their dad's? And their tastebuds are starting to form.
Big ultrasound is scheduled next Friday with my cousin Joette :) She is going to do a 3D/4D ultrasound for us, bc we cannot get any gender guesses for the little squirmers! Both of my parents are joining us for this ultrasound (Greg's will be in Arizona) and we are all excited!
Anatomy scan and bone scan with my OB is set for November 17th, so if we have no luck at the end of the month, I guess that will be the tell all day :) 20 weeks!
I am finally starting to show! I would say I officially popped just in the last day or so and my bump is now visible through my shirt. It is still pretty small, I think, but I guess I am measuring close to 21 weeks, or more, so it's probably right on track for that :)

And We Go From One Citrus to Another :)
Today the babes are oranges! I love oranges, always have... and my babies love orange juice. I have drank a small glass right before every ultrasound and they put on their dancing shoes for us!
This week's milestones include the legs continuing to grow so they outmeasure the arms, so the body is becoming more proportional. All all 4 joints are now fully functional! My ultrasound tomorrow should be awesome! Both babies are squirming and moving like crazy, although, I cannot feel any of it. I did think I felt something last night, but it was probably just gas.

We Have Lemons!
Again, I am a day late writing this entry, but life has been very hectic for me. Greg has been traveling this week, so I have been trying to keep busy at night, which most nights, has involved me going to the gym...again... for the 2nd time in the same day. I've done yoga and spin, both classes that I've frequented before, but hadn't gone back to since finding out I was pregnant. I am sticking with yoga, but I am not so sure about the spin class. I feel like the out of the saddle work was too much bouncing... but comparable to jogging and if I am doing a little bit of that, I am not sure if there is really a difference.
Anyway, like my title suggests, the babies are now the size of lemons! And I can tell because my stomach just very recently decided to stick out... like as recent as yesterday, when they turned 14 weeks old! I think they like the milestones as much as I do, bc it was last week that I first noticed some hangover, and then this week that I noticed a little bump through my shirt :) Yeah babies!
During week 14 of their lives, they are busy wiggling toes, sucking thumbs and making urine (no wonder I am getting up 3 times to pee in the middle of the night!)! They are now breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidney and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo, which is a thin layer of hair, has now started growing over their bodies for warmth.
